- Apple trades at 310.34, up 0.32% and wedged into a two-dollar band between its 312.21 and 309.55 averages.
- June-quarter revenue rose 16% to $109.4 billion, but guidance came in below consensus and capped the reaction.
- The 312.21 average is the level that decides which way this compression breaks.
Fundamental Analysis: Apple (AAPL)
Apple's fiscal third quarter, ended 27 June, was the strongest June quarter in the company's history on the headline numbers. Revenue reached $109.4 billion, up 16% year on year, diluted earnings per share came in at $2.02, up 29%, and the company set June-quarter records in iPhone, Mac and Services with double-digit growth in every geographic segment.
The counterweight sits in the quality of those figures. Gross margin of 50.1% included roughly two percentage points attributable to tariff refunds, which is not a repeatable contribution, and the guidance accompanying the release landed below what analysts had modelled. A record quarter that arrives with a soft outlook and a one-off margin benefit is a difficult thing for a market to price, and the stock fell on the print despite the beat.
The result is a share that has done a full round trip. The strength is real, the reasons to doubt its durability are also real, and neither side has been able to force a resolution. That stand-off is exactly what the chart is showing.
Technical Analysis: Apple (AAPL)

The 4-hour chart captures the swing that defined the summer: a July run to 345.50, then a slide to 300.80 in early August, then a recovery that stalled at 320.80. Price has since settled at 310.34 with the 312.21 and 309.55 averages closing in from either side, and the resulting compression is the tightest of the last two months.
Resistance is 312.21, then the 320.80 August high. Support is 309.55, then the 300.80 low that anchors the August base. A break beneath the 299.54 slow average would end the recovery structure and invalidate the neutral read in favour of a retest of the lows.
