Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how BeCoin uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for core functionality, security, preferences, analytics, and referral attribution.
Why this page matters
- BeCoin uses a consent banner with accept and decline controls. Optional analytics and advertising storage should be denied by default until consent is accepted.
- Strictly necessary cookies and storage help keep the site working, remember cookie choices, protect sessions, and prevent abuse.
- Affiliate and referral cookies, when active, are used to attribute referrals fairly and detect fraud, not to guarantee commissions or investment results.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files placed on a device. Local storage and similar browser technologies can also store small pieces of information. BeCoin uses these technologies to make the site work, remember choices, measure performance, secure accounts, and support referral attribution.
Some technologies are set directly by BeCoin. Others may be set by third-party providers such as analytics, payment, login, hosting, security, or embedded service providers when those services are used.
Strictly necessary technologies
Strictly necessary cookies and storage are required to provide the site or a feature you request. These may support login sessions, CSRF or security checks, cookie consent records, language routing, theme preferences, account access, subscription checks, rate limits, API protection, and fraud prevention.
If you block strictly necessary technologies, parts of BeCoin may not load correctly, login may fail, alerts or watchlists may not work, checkout may break, or security features may become less effective.
Analytics and performance
BeCoin may use analytics and performance technologies to understand page loads, traffic sources, popular pages, errors, device types, conversion paths, and product usage. These signals help find slow pages, broken flows, bad translations, empty tables, and data-quality problems.
Where consent is required, analytics and advertising storage should remain denied until you accept cookies in the banner. If you decline, BeCoin should still operate core features but may receive less diagnostic information.
Functionality preferences
Functionality storage may remember choices such as language, theme, cookie consent, compact notices, forecast settings, table preferences, search state, calculator inputs, affiliate dashboard preferences, and account-area navigation.
These settings make repeat visits smoother and reduce unnecessary prompts. They are not intended to store passwords, wallet keys, broker passwords, or full card numbers.
Affiliate and referral attribution
When BeCoin affiliate or referral features are active, referral links may use URL parameters such as ref, campaign, source, or similar identifiers. BeCoin may store a referral code in a cookie or local storage so that later signup or checkout activity can be attributed within the applicable attribution window.
A common referral window may be up to 90 days unless a dashboard, written agreement, or policy update says otherwise. Attribution can be adjusted or rejected for self-referrals, fraud, duplicate accounts, refunded payments, chargebacks, ineligible traffic, or tracking errors.
Payments, OAuth, and third parties
Stripe or another payment provider may set cookies or similar technologies during checkout, fraud prevention, invoice access, or subscription management. OAuth providers such as Google, Facebook, Apple, or other login providers may use their own technologies when you choose those login options.
Third-party brokers, social networks, analytics providers, embeds, or external links may use their own cookies after you interact with them. BeCoin does not control third-party cookies outside BeCoin pages.
How to manage cookies
You can accept or decline optional cookies through the BeCoin cookie banner where it appears. If the banner is no longer visible, you can clear site data for becoin.net in your browser, clear the bc-cookie-consent cookie or local-storage value, use private browsing, or adjust browser-level cookie settings.
Browser controls can block or delete cookies, but blocking all cookies may break login, subscriptions, checkout, account settings, alerts, watchlists, API access, localization, and fraud-prevention features.
Do Not Track and global privacy signals
Some browsers send Do Not Track or global privacy signals. Standards and legal effects vary by region. BeCoin will continue to review practical support for these signals, but the most reliable choices are the cookie banner, browser cookie controls, account settings where available, and direct privacy requests.
Retention
Cookie and storage lifetimes vary by purpose. Consent records may last up to one year. Session technologies may expire when you sign out or close the browser. Referral attribution may last up to the active attribution window. Security, fraud, and analytics logs may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
BeCoin may update cookie names, providers, categories, and retention periods as the platform changes. The policy date shows when this page was last revised.
