The STOXX 600 traded at 644.30, up 0.79%, around 15:29 UTC on July 24 in Reuters’ LSEG market display. The index recovered as SAP’s earnings rally lifted technology shares, but higher oil prices and renewed European rate-hike risk kept the advance selective.
Why it matters
SAP gained 10.04% in the later Reuters quote, providing a large positive impulse. Earlier, Reuters reported the STOXX 600 technology sector up 1.4% and noted that it had gained 16% in 2026. Yet energy stocks did not fully benefit from Brent’s move because Neste fell after a profit miss.
The macro constraint is monetary policy. Reuters said markets were pricing a 25-basis-point European Central Bank increase and roughly a 70% chance of another similar move by year-end. That can compress valuations even when company earnings are strong.
Google’s dominant results described a steady or recovering European market. TradingView’s STOXX 600 idea page was notably stale: the newest broad idea dated to December 2025. BeCoin adds today’s verified index level, sector attribution and a current rate-risk framework.
Technical and market context
The first support is 640, close to the earlier session level of 642.62. A daily close above 645 would strengthen the recovery and put 650 in view. Failure below 640 would expose 635, then the prior two-week breakout area.
Because current TradingView coverage is not timely, BeCoin does not import old numerical targets into today’s chart. The scenario levels are based on the current index structure and are clearly labeled as analysis.
BeCoin forecast read
BeCoin’s base case is consolidation between 640 and 650. The bull case requires earnings breadth beyond SAP and a close above 650. The bear case strengthens below 640 if oil-driven inflation pushes ECB expectations higher.
