Read this first. Olymp Trade is run by offshore companies in Vanuatu and St Vincent and the Grenadines. Its own terms list 53 countries and territories it does not serve, including the EU, the UK, the US, Canada and Australia.
India's central bank (RBI) and Malaysia's Securities Commission both list Olymp Trade on their alert lists. Its fixed-time trades work like binary options, which EU and UK regulators banned for retail clients.
This guide explains how deposits work, using Olymp Trade's own pages and regulator records. It is not advice to open or fund an account.
Short answer: Olymp Trade's minimum deposit is $10 or €10. You can pay by bank card, crypto (USDT, BTC, ETH, SOL) or an e-payment system, and the list you see depends on your region.
Olymp Trade says it covers deposit fees, but your bank, wallet or a local method can still charge. Its own Brazil bank-transfer page mentions a fee of around 7–8%.
Money is credited in your account currency at a rate Olymp Trade sets. Deposits usually arrive almost instantly. Later, each deposit must go back to the method it came from; only profit can go elsewhere.
Deposit rules at a glance
Every row below comes from an Olymp Trade page or legal document retrieved on 6 Nov 2026. Where Olymp Trade publishes nothing, the table says so.
| Topic | What Olymp Trade says | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | "$10 or €10"; minimum trade "$1 or €1". The UPI page also gives $10. | Help Center: How much money do you need; How to deposit with UPI |
| Maximum deposit | No figure published. The company "reserves the right" to set minimum and maximum amounts by method and currency. | Non-trading Transactions Regulation, cl. 4.6 |
| Method groups | Bank card, cryptocurrency or e-payment system, "based on their popularity in your region". | Help Center: Deposit methods |
| Olymp Trade deposit fee | "Olymptrade covers all deposit fees"; providers and wallets "may charge their own fees". | Help Center: Deposit fee |
| Currency | Credited in the account currency; the company sets the conversion rate. | Regulation, cl. 4.4 |
| Speed | "Almost instantly"; if not, wait about an hour, then contact Support. | Help Center: Deposit times |
| Whose money | Only your own card, e-wallet or bank account. Third-party payments can be refused and sent back at your expense. | Regulation, cl. 5.1.3–5.3.4 |
| Withdrawing it later | Back to the same method, in proportion to what each method deposited; profit can go to any of them. | Help Center: Withdrawal methods; Regulation, cl. 6.1(d) |
| Idle money | $10 a month inactivity fee after 180 days with no trades, deposits or withdrawals. | Help Center: Brokerage fees |
Deposit methods and how each works
All deposits start the same way: choose the live account to fund, then Payments → Deposit, enter the amount and pick a method. What happens next depends on the method.
| Method | Steps Olymp Trade describes | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Bank card | Enter amount, choose Bank cards, confirm, enter card details, press Pay. You can save the card. | Saving the card turns on the 1-Click service (recurring payments). The card must be in your name. |
| Crypto: USDT | Choose USDT and a network (TRC20, ERC20 or BSC BEP20), confirm, press Show address, send from your wallet. | "Using the wrong network can lead to a permanent loss of funds." Send the whole amount in one transaction. |
| Crypto: BTC, ETH, SOL | Pick the coin, enter the amount, copy the address or scan the QR code. | Your wallet's network fee is yours to pay. Balance updates after blockchain confirmation. |
| E-payment system | Choose the system, confirm, then finish on the system's own page. | Steps "may differ between payment systems". Credit follows once the system processes the payment. |
Olymp Trade says crypto can fund both USDT and USD accounts. Depositing non-USDT tokens to a USDT address "could result in losing your funds".
An older Help Center page also lists USDT (Binance) and USDT (Omni). The current deposit guides name only TRC20, ERC20 and BSC BEP20, so use the networks your deposit screen shows.
The Help Center has separate pages for Skrill and Neteller, two global e-wallets. Whether either appears for you depends on your country.
Methods by country, and where you can't deposit
Olymp Trade does not publish one country-by-method list. Its Help Center does have pages for local methods. The table lists only methods with an official Olymp Trade page; your deposit screen is the final word.
| Country | Methods with an official page | What the page says | Regulator note |
|---|---|---|---|
| India | UPI; NetBanking | UPI minimum $10. Funds "typically arrive … within an hour", sometimes up to 24 hours. Keep the UTR number. | RBI Alert List, entry 28. RBI warns residents not to "remit/deposit money" to unauthorised forex platforms. |
| Indonesia | DANA, OVO, GoPay, bank virtual accounts (Bank Mandiri, Bank Danamon, Bank CIMB Niaga, Bank Permata) | GoPay: most deposits credited at once, up to 1 hour. Unconfirmed GoPay payments are not credited automatically. | Not checked against a primary Indonesian record for this guide. |
| Brazil | PIX; bank transfer | Bank transfer: up to 5 days, and "a fee of around 7–8% applies". | Not checked against a primary Brazilian record for this guide. |
| Nigeria | Local banks: Access Bank, Zenith Bank, First Bank of Nigeria, Sterling Bank, GTBank, Providus Bank, Unity Bank | "You can use these banks to deposit & withdraw." | Not checked for this guide. |
| South Africa | Local banks: ABSA, First National Bank, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Capitec, Investec | Listed as available local banks. | Not checked for this guide. |
| Vietnam | Local banks: Vietcombank, Vietinbank, Techcombank, Sacombank, Asia Commercial Bank, Donga Bank | "Clients of the following Vietnamese banks can deposit funds." | Not checked for this guide. |
| Kenya | M-Pesa | Help Center category describing M-Pesa; no limits or times on the page. | Not checked for this guide. |
| Malaysia | No local method page found | n/a | SC Malaysia Investor Alert List: "Olymp Trade / Olymp Trade Malaysia" (2018). |
"Not checked" means BeCoin did not verify that country's regulator records for this guide. It does not mean the regulator approves Olymp Trade.
No official Olymp Trade page for other local methods (for example in Pakistan or Egypt) was found. Methods that appear only on review sites are left out.
Service Agreement clause 11.1 lists the places Olymp Trade "does not operate in or provide services to". They include:
- every EU member state, plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland;
- the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey;
- the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand;
- Israel, Iran, Palestine, Russia, China, Serbia, Mauritius, Myanmar and North Korea;
- Vanuatu and St Vincent and the Grenadines, where its own operating companies are registered.
The Help Center adds that documents linked to a restricted country lead to a blocked profile, and that a VPN does not change this. Depositing from a restricted country risks a frozen balance.
Account currency and conversion
Each Trader ID can hold up to 5 live accounts. Olymp Trade says you pick a currency when you create one, "like USD, EUR, or some local currencies".
You cannot change an account's currency later. The fix is to open a new account in another currency and archive the old one; at least one account must stay active.
Clause 4.4 of the Non-trading Transactions Regulation sets the conversion rule. Money is credited "in the currency of the Client's account, regardless of the currency in which the transfer was made".
If the currencies differ, the deposit is converted "at the exchange rate at the time when the payment was received". The same clause says: "The Company sets the conversion rate."
Clause 6.5 adds that this rate "may differ from the exchange rate of currencies established by the official authorities … and from the current market level". Olymp Trade does not publish its rate or spread.
So a deposit in rupees, reais or rupiah into a USD account can be converted twice: once going in, and once again when you withdraw to a local-currency method. Your bank or card scheme may add its own conversion too.
The simplest way to limit this is to fund an account in the same currency your payment method uses, where that currency is offered.
Fees: who charges what
Olymp Trade's Deposit fee page says it "covers all deposit fees". The same page adds that "certain payment providers or wallets, like cryptocurrency wallets, may charge their own fees".
Its own Brazil bank-transfer page says "a fee of around 7–8% applies when using this method". The two pages don't match, so check the amount credited on the confirmation screen before you pay.
| Cost | Who charges it | Published amount |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit fee | Olymp Trade | None ("covers all deposit fees") |
| Local method fee (Brazil bank transfer) | Stated on Olymp Trade's page | "Around 7–8%" |
| Crypto network fee | Your wallet / the blockchain | Varies; "TRC20 is generally a lot cheaper than ERC20" |
| Currency conversion | Olymp Trade sets the rate; your bank may convert too | Not published |
| Foreign transaction or card fees | Your bank or card issuer | Depends on your bank |
| Inactivity fee | Olymp Trade | $10 a month after 180 days of no activity, never below a zero balance |
| Deduction on "suspicious" non-trading activity | Olymp Trade | "Up to 20%" of any withdrawn amount (Regulation cl. 1.6) |
A fee taken on the way in costs more than its label suggests, because your balance must grow back from a smaller base. The formula:
Gain needed to recover = 1 ÷ (1 − fee) − 1
2% spread in and 2% out: 1 ÷ 0.98² − 1 = 4.1%
7% fee: 1 ÷ 0.93 − 1 = 7.5%
8% fee: 1 ÷ 0.92 − 1 = 8.7%
How long a deposit takes
Olymp Trade's Deposit times page says funds "typically arrive in Olymptrade accounts almost instantly". If not, "wait for about an hour and keep checking", then contact Support.
It explains that deposits are "processed automatically", while each withdrawal goes through several review stages. That is why deposits are faster than withdrawals.
| Method | Stated time | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Most methods | "Almost instantly"; check again after about an hour | Help Center: Deposit times |
| Crypto | After the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain | Help Center: How to deposit with crypto |
| UPI (India) | "Within an hour", "in some cases" up to 24 hours | Help Center: How to deposit with UPI |
| GoPay (Indonesia) | Mostly immediate, up to 1 hour | Help Center: Go Pay |
| Bank transfer (Brazil) | "Up to 5 days" | Help Center: Bank Transfer |
The Regulation (cl. 5.2.4) says Olymp Trade is "not responsible for the time an electronic transfer may take" when a delay is the payment system's fault.
Deposit rules that decide your withdrawal
The method you deposit with decides where your money can go later. That makes the first deposit the most important choice in the whole process.
- Own name only. Cards must be "registered only in his name"; e-wallet transfers only "from his personal e-wallet"; bank transfers only "from his personal bank account" (cl. 5.1.3, 5.2.2, 5.3.3).
- Third-party payments. Olymp Trade can refuse them and send the money back, and "all expenses related to this transfer will be paid by the Client" (cl. 5.1.5, 5.3.4).
- Bank-transfer reference. Check the bank details and "purpose of payment" in your dashboard first; a different purpose can be refused (cl. 5.1.4–5.1.5).
- Same method back. Withdrawals go "to the same payment instrument" and can be limited to what that instrument deposited (cl. 6.1(d)).
- Deposit, then trade. Depositing and withdrawing "without intention to perform trading transactions" can be treated as suspicious (cl. 2.1).
If an operation is deemed suspicious, clause 1.6 lets Olymp Trade, among other steps:
- refuse it;
- return deposits to their source;
- debit bonuses;
- deduct "up to 20%" from any withdrawn amount;
- close the account.
When you used more than one method, the Help Center says withdrawals are split in proportion to each method's deposits. Its worked example is below.
Banks can block a card refund that is larger than the original card deposit. In that case Olymp Trade says it "may request your e-wallet details". Having a verified e-wallet in your own name helps.
Clause 6.11 adds that profit above your deposits "may be transferred … only in the order agreed between the Company and the Client". Expect questions on large profit withdrawals.
Deposit bonuses and statuses: the terms
Olymp Trade offers deposit bonuses through promo codes. This section states the terms; it is not a recommendation to take one. The rules are in the "Terms and Conditions of the Bonus Welcome Program".
- The bonus is "virtual funds", "non-withdrawable", and "intended solely for trading purposes".
- It comes with a task: a trading volume equal to the bonus times a multiplier. Olymp Trade does not publish the multiplier; you see it in the "Unlock Your Reward" section.
- Complete the task within 30 calendar days (unless stated otherwise) and you get a fixed "Reward" in real money. The bonus is then removed.
- Only Fixed Time and Flex trades count toward the task.
- Requesting a withdrawal, moving funds to another account, letting the 30 days run out, or cancelling ends the program, and "all progress … will be permanently lost".
- Only one bonus can be active per account, and it cannot be transferred.
The bonus also changes every trade. Olymp Trade fixes a funds-to-bonus ratio when the bonus is credited, and each trade uses both in that ratio. Its own example:
Deposit $100 + bonus $50 → ratio 67% your money : 33% bonus
$10 trade = $6.70 your money + $3.30 bonus
Win at 82%: profit $8.20 → $5.49 real, $2.71 added to the non-withdrawable bonus
Loss: you lose $6.70 of your own money (and $3.30 of bonus)
The $8.20 split is BeCoin arithmetic using the 82% payout example from Olymp Trade's Help Center. Under clause 3.4, any profit on the bonus share "shall not be available for withdrawal".
Separately, Olymp Trade's Statuses page ties account tiers to deposits: Smart from $100, Pro from $2,000 and Elite from $30,000.
The same page describes Smart as a total "over any amount of time" in one place and a "one-time deposit" in another. Ask support which applies before depositing for a status.
Deposit failed or missing: what to do
Olymp Trade's first step is to check that the transfer actually completed. If it did and the money is missing, contact Support by chat, email or hotline from the Help menu.
| Problem | What Olymp Trade says | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Paid, but no balance yet | Wait about an hour and keep checking; then contact Support. | Help Center: Deposit times |
| E-payment system delay | Funds "will either be sent to your Olymptrade account a bit later or returned to you". | Help Center: Funds haven't arrived? |
| UPI: "Invalid VPA" or gateway error | Check the UPI ID, reinstall the app or clear cache and cookies; check your connection. | Help Center: Avoid Common Mistakes: UPI |
| UPI: "Invalid Type" | You pressed Pay twice. Try again and press it once. | Help Center: Avoid Common Mistakes: UPI |
| UPI payment hard to trace | Enter the UTR number; without it "your funds may take longer to arrive". | Help Center: How to deposit with UPI |
| GoPay deposit not credited | Confirm the transaction on the aggregator page; contact Support after 1 hour. | Help Center: Go Pay |
| Crypto sent on the wrong network or wrong token | Can mean "a permanent loss of funds". Match the network and send one transaction. | Help Center: How to deposit with crypto |
| Card declined by your bank | The payment provider is "not responsible" for a refusal by the card-issuing bank. Ask your bank. | Regulation, cl. 8.9 |
| Money sent from someone else's account | Can be refused and returned, with costs on you. | Regulation, cl. 5.1.5, 5.3.4 |
| Funds sent to an archived account | The archived account "becomes active automatically". | Help Center: Change account currency |
Keep the transaction ID, UTR or blockchain hash, the time and the amount. Clause 3.4 asks clients to report balance errors "as soon as possible".
Don't open a chargeback as a shortcut. Card payments are "irrevocably executed" once confirmed (cl. 9.1), and clause 9.4 bars a chargeback "without a legitimate reason".
Clause 9.2 says unused deposits can be withdrawn under the normal rules; clause 9.3 says deposits used for trading are never refunded.
A new payment method can also trigger a verification request. See the Olymp Trade verification and source-of-funds guide for the documents.
Withdrawals in brief
The headline withdrawal rules, all from Olymp Trade's Help Center and Regulation:
- Minimum generally $10 per transaction; USDT ₮5 to ₮1,000,000.
- No Olymp Trade maximum, but banks may set their own limits.
- One withdrawal request at a time.
- USDT "typically processed within 1 hour"; payment systems "within 24 hours".
- The Regulation allows up to 5 working days for the decision (cl. 6.8).
- No withdrawal fee in general, except USDT and crypto withdrawals and non-trading activity.
For limits, fees, statuses, delays and disputes in full, read the Olymp Trade withdrawal guide.
How much to deposit: do the math first
Olymp Trade's Help Center uses an asset with 82% profitability as its example. A win pays 82% of the stake, and a loss costs 100% of it.
Break-even win rate = 1 ÷ (1 + payout)
82% payout: 1 ÷ 1.82 = 54.9%
So more than 54.9% of trades must win just to break even, before any deposit fee or conversion cost. Lower payouts need higher win rates.
Olymp Trade's own guide says "only use money you can afford to lose" and suggests risking 1% to 5% of the balance per trade. Read more on why win rate alone doesn't matter.
Before funding anything, test a plan with the risk of ruin calculator and the trading simulator.
Who you are paying and what regulators say
The company footer names Aollikus Limited (no. 40131, Port Vila, Vanuatu) as provider. Saledo Global LLC (St Vincent and the Grenadines) serves digital-asset accounts.
The Regulation (cl. 4.1) says deposits go to the company's accounts or to "authorized payment agents", so the name on your statement may not say Olymp Trade.
| Body | Record | What it means for a deposit |
|---|---|---|
| Vanuatu Financial Services Commission | Aollikus Limited, licence 40131, classes A, B, C, Active; licence date 6 Jan 2023 | An offshore dealer licence. It is not an EU, UK, US or Indian authorisation. |
| Reserve Bank of India | Alert List (updated as on 19 Nov 2025), entry 28: "Olymp Trade" | RBI says residents dealing on unauthorised platforms "shall render themselves liable for legal action under the FEMA". |
| Securities Commission Malaysia | Investor Alert List: "Olymp Trade / Olymp Trade Malaysia", 2018, "Conducting unlicensed capital market activities" | Not licensed in Malaysia. SC also lists a clone, "Pelaburan Olymp Malaysia" (2024). |
| UK FCA | Warning on a lookalike, "Olymp Trader" (olymptrader.co.uk), first published 13 May 2021 | Check the web address before you pay. Olymp Trade does not serve the UK. |
Olymp Trade's Regulation page argues that "the RBI alert is related only to Forex transactions". It adds that a client "should check this information on its own basis". The legal risk of depositing sits with you.
On the product: ESMA banned the sale of binary options to retail investors across the EU in 2018, citing their "structural expected negative return". The UK FCA made its ban permanent from 2 April 2019.
10-step checklist
- Check your country against Service Agreement clause 11.1 and your own regulator's warning list.
- Type the address yourself and check the domain; lookalike and clone sites exist.
- Choose the account currency to match your payment method where possible; it can't be changed later.
- Pick one method in your own name that you can also withdraw to, because deposits must go back the same way.
- Read the confirmation screen: amount, currency and any provider fee before you press Pay.
- For crypto, match the network and send one transaction; never send another token to the address.
- Save proof: transaction ID, UTR or hash, date and amount.
- Read the bonus terms before entering a promo code; the bonus can't be withdrawn and a withdrawal request ends it.
- Keep verification documents ready; a new method can trigger a check.
- Deposit only what you can lose, and log every payment in a trading journal.
FAQ
What is the minimum deposit on Olymp Trade?
Olymp Trade's Help Center says "$10 or €10", with a minimum trade of $1 or €1. Its UPI page also gives $10. Local-currency methods may show a converted amount.
Does Olymp Trade charge a deposit fee?
Olymp Trade says it "covers all deposit fees", but payment providers and wallets may charge their own. Its Brazil bank-transfer page mentions around 7–8%, and conversion uses a rate the company sets.
How long does an Olymp Trade deposit take?
Usually "almost instantly". Olymp Trade says to wait about an hour before contacting Support. UPI can take up to 24 hours and a Brazilian bank transfer up to 5 days.
Which deposit methods are available in my country?
Olymp Trade shows methods "based on their popularity in your region", so check Payments → Deposit. Its Help Center names local methods for India, Indonesia, Brazil, Nigeria, South Africa, Vietnam and Kenya.
Can I deposit with someone else's card or e-wallet?
No. The Regulation allows only cards and wallets in your own name. Third-party payments can be refused and returned, with the costs charged to you.
Can I withdraw to a different method than I deposited with?
Deposits go back to the method they came from, in proportion. Only profit can go to any of your methods. Olymp Trade may ask for e-wallet details if a bank refuses a larger card refund.
Can I withdraw an Olymp Trade deposit bonus?
No. The bonus is "non-withdrawable" virtual funds. Only the fixed Reward for completing the trading task is real money, and a withdrawal request before that ends the program.
What should I do if my deposit hasn't arrived?
Check that the payment completed, wait about an hour, then contact Support with the transaction ID or UTR. Delayed e-payments are either credited later or returned, Olymp Trade says.
Bottom line
Depositing on Olymp Trade is easy: $10 minimum, cards, crypto and local methods, usually credited at once. The hard part is what the deposit commits you to.
Your method fixes where money can go back. Your currency choice decides conversions at a rate you can't see. A bonus code adds money you can't withdraw.
Weigh this against the bigger picture: an offshore operator, alert-list entries in India and Malaysia, and a fixed-time product that EU and UK regulators banned for retail clients.
