- Avalanche trades at $7.64, up 1.32% and holding above its 7.4880 average after a violent week.
- Tokenised real-world assets on the network passed $3 billion on 22 August.
- The $7.00 low from the liquidation flush is the level that invalidates the recovery.
Fundamental Analysis: Avalanche
The substantive news for Avalanche in August was institutional rather than speculative. Tokenised real-world assets on the network crossed $3 billion in total value on 22 August, with more than $1.2 billion of that coming from migrated tokenised Japanese securities and a further $1.6 billion in processed payments volume. That is a measurable use of the network's subnet architecture by regulated issuers, not a projection.
The counterweight arrived on the same day and had nothing to do with fundamentals. A cascade of large sell orders and leveraged liquidations took the token down 13.5% in about five minutes, wiping out a spike to $8.30 almost as fast as it had formed. Positioning, not adoption, set the price that day, and the speed of the unwind says a good deal about how thin the order book became at the highs. Separately, the Helicon upgrade is live on the test network, introducing asynchronous execution aimed at roughly five-second settlement.
So the network is being used more seriously while the token trades on leverage. Those two things can coexist for a long time, and the gap between them is why sharp reversals like 22 August keep happening.
Technical Analysis: Avalanche

The 4-hour chart shows a choppy 6.25 to 6.55 range through to 19 August, a breakout, and then the 22 August candle that spiked to 8.30 and closed near 7.00 — a full round trip inside a single bar. Price has since built a tighter shelf between 7.45 and 7.70 and sits at 7.64, back above the 7.4880 average with 7.1940, 6.9289 and 6.7660 stacked beneath.
Resistance is 7.70 at the top of the shelf, then the 8.30 spike high. Support is the 7.4880 average, then 7.1940. A close below 7.00 would confirm the spike as a failed breakout and invalidate the recovery.
