Avalanche 4-hour chart showing AVAX breaking above a compressed moving-average band towards the $6.85 range high

Avalanche Forecast: AVAX at 6.74 on Tokenised Fund Push

By Saqib Iqbal2 min read
  • AVAX trades at $6.7426, down 0.49% over 24 hours after pushing to $6.85 at the top of its August range.
  • A $613bn asset manager put a tokenised income fund on the network this week, alongside a leadership change built around regulation.
  • The $6.44-$6.51 average cluster is the level that decides whether the range breaks or holds.

Fundamental Analysis: Avalanche

The 18 August announcements gave this network a real institutional data point. Securitize and Neuberger Berman, which manages roughly $613bn, launched the Neuberger Securitize High Income Tokenized Fund on Avalanche and other chains - a real-world asset product from a mainstream manager rather than a crypto-native experiment. Ava Labs also promoted Charley Cooper, a former CFTC official, to President, a signal about where the company thinks its next growth comes from.

Avalanche additionally joined the 26-member Agentic Payments Alliance, whose membership includes the major card networks, positioning it in AI-driven commerce infrastructure. On the protocol side, the Helicon upgrade is pending mainnet activation, bringing continuous execution and revised staking economics.

None of that has moved price far, and the reason is flow. Large holder transfers to exchanges have been adding near-term selling pressure, and the sector backdrop is soft - spot bitcoin funds recorded their largest outflow in six weeks on 17 August. Institutional adoption is a multi-quarter thesis; exchange inflows are a same-week problem, and the chart has been reflecting the second.

August has been a range between roughly $6.10 and $6.90, and the interesting feature is how tightly the moving averages have compressed inside it: $6.4448, $6.4552, $6.4854 and $6.5098 all sit within six cents of each other. That compression usually resolves with a move, and the past two sessions have pushed price up through the whole band to $6.85 before settling at $6.7426.

Resistance is the $6.85 high, then the $6.90 top of the range. Support is the compressed average band at $6.51 down to $6.44, then the $6.30 mid-August base. A four-hour close back inside that average cluster would neutralise the breakout; a close under $6.30 would open the $6.10 range floor.
