- AAPL trades at 316.83, up 2.19% on the day and back above the fast moving average it lost after earnings.
- A record June quarter is the support; roughly two points of that gross margin came from tariff refunds.
- 320 is the level that decides whether this is a recovery or another lower high.
Fundamental Analysis: AAPL
The 30 July fiscal third-quarter report was Apple's strongest June quarter on record. Revenue reached $109.4bn, up 16% year on year, with diluted earnings of $2.02 per share, up 29%. iPhone, Mac and Services all set June-quarter records, growth was double-digit in every geographic segment, and the installed base of active devices hit an all-time high across all major categories.
The quality of that beat deserves a caveat. Gross margin came in at 50.1%, but roughly two percentage points of it came from tariff refunds, and $0.11 of the earnings figure came from the same source. Strip that out and the underlying picture is still good, just less spectacular - which is part of why the stock sold off after hours despite the headline beat.
That tension is what the chart has been working through. The AI-enhanced Siri shown at WWDC26 gives the story a forward leg, but it is a promise rather than a revenue line, and with the Fed minutes on 19 August pointing to a willingness to tighten further, the market is not paying up for promises. Apple's June quarter bought it a floor, not a fresh re-rating.
Technical Analysis: AAPL

The structure begins at the late-July peak near 344, from which the post-earnings decline carried the stock to roughly 305 by mid-August. Price then built a base between 307 and 310, and the past two sessions have produced a firm push back through the 309.10, 310.06 and 312.33 averages, closing above the 315.85 fast average for the first time since the drop.
Resistance is 320 immediately, then the 322 early-August bounce high, with 330 above that. Support is the reclaimed 315.85 average, then the 310 cluster and the 305 August low, with the 200-period average far below at 298.78. A four-hour close back under 310 would confirm this as another lower high.
