Forecast methodology
Data and source checks
Each asset page identifies its quote source and check time. Crypto reference quotes use aggregated market data with an exchange cross-check where available. Candle history can use a different venue and quote currency. A USD reference quote and a USDT candle close are not identical. Other asset classes use the providers stated on their page. Missing, stale or inconsistent data is withheld rather than replaced with an invented quote.
Short-term scenarios
The crypto scenario model uses recent candle returns to estimate drift and volatility. The target follows P × exp(drift × days). Its model-implied central 80% band follows P × exp(drift × days ± 1.28155 × daily volatility × √days). This assumes lognormal returns and constant recent volatility. The band is not a demonstrated 80% success rate. Each page states the applicable horizon and data basis; model availability varies by asset.
Long-term scenarios
Long-term values are illustrative scenarios derived from the assumptions displayed alongside the table. They are not promised returns or independently validated price targets. Changing the reference quote changes the scenario values. The long-term methodology on the Bitcoin forecast explains the displayed assumptions and limits.
Refresh and unavailable data
Market widgets request updated data periodically, commonly every 60 seconds. Provider timestamps show the age of the underlying data; the browser refresh time does not make an old quote current. Reference checks, provider availability and market trading sessions can limit refreshes. Cached public HTML can contain an earlier verified snapshot, while live widgets obtain newer data.
Evaluation and risk
A forecast accuracy percentage requires a versioned evaluation ledger, sample dates, coverage, exclusions and realized outcomes. A percentage without that evidence should not be treated as demonstrated predictive accuracy. Model-implied ranges do not establish historical accuracy. Forecasts and signals are educational research context. Prices can move outside every displayed range, and trading can result in loss of capital.
