Ethereum climbed 1.99% on Tuesday to $1,907, nudging above the $1,900 psychological line it has been coiling under since last week and outpacing Bitcoin on the day. The move extends one of the cleaner charts in crypto right now: a steady ladder of higher lows built off June's $1,450 capitulation low.
Why it matters
ETH spent the spring as the market's problem child — bleeding against BTC, selling every bounce. That script has quietly flipped in July. Each dip since $1,450 has been bought at a higher level ($1,600, then $1,700, then $1,800), and today's push through $1,900 is the fourth higher low turning into a higher high. Structure like that is how accumulation looks before it's obvious. The catch is the ceiling: $2,000 isn't just a round number, it's where the last three months of trapped supply and a falling 100-day average converge. Altcoin risk appetite doesn't turn until ETH proves it can take that level.
Technical analysis
Immediate support sits at $1,840–$1,860, with the $1,806–$1,768 zone as the line that keeps the July uptrend alive — lose it and the higher-low sequence breaks. Overhead, the 100-day EMA near $1,945 is the first friction, then the $2,000 psychological wall. A daily close above $2,000 unlocks $2,100–$2,150, then the $2,250–$2,300 shelf where the 200-day average (around $2,218) waits. Momentum backs the bulls without screaming: daily RSI near 63 is strong but still clear of overbought, leaving room for one more push before the level gets tested in earnest.
BeCoin's forecast read
The model's weekly path is constructive while ETH holds above $1,800, and it treats $2,000 as the binary the whole tape is watching — a confirmed close through it flips the month view toward $2,300, while a rejection likely resets price to the $1,840–$1,860 base for another run. Its 24-hour skew is mildly positive but respects the wall: the model prefers responsive entries near support to chasing the round number. On the year horizon it keeps the structural case (staking demand plus the L2 fee rebound) intact as long as $1,768 survives.
